"Guam Island Mini Pages" has won the ADP 2008 Gold Book Directory Division Award

Congratulations to the publisher and printer of "Guam Island Mini Pages", which won the 2008 Excellence in Cover Ad Design & Art – Print Award by the Association of Directory Publishers. It is a 2007/2008 phone directory published by Ad-Ventures Publishing, Inc. and printed by C&C. Finishing effects like embossing, spot UV varnishing, glittering, vitreous granule UV varnishing have been applied to create an unconventional effect for the directory cover. Awards were presented at ADP’s recent 2008 Annual Convention and Partners Trade Show in Orlando, Florida, USA.

Founded in 1898, Association of Directory Publishers is the oldest and largest trade association representing independent telephone directory publishers in the United States. The ADP Gold Book Awards competition is contested in two sections. The initial section, which recognizes outstanding achievements in the design and production of directory products, is held at the Association’s Annual Convention each spring. The second section of the competition, held at the Association’s Mid-Year Convention in the fall, rewards the marketing and service innovations of independent Yellow Pages publishers. Points earned in each section are then combined to determine the overall Gold Book Publisher of the Year.
