C&C Won Charity Stair Run Champion

Hong Chi Climbathon, the annual charity stair run of Hong Chi Association, was held on 6 Oct 2012 at Central Plaza, Hong Kong. C&C won the champion in the Team Relay 29-Floor Race with 2 min. 59 sec and initiated to raise money for the event.

Ms. Candy WONG, C&C Director & Deputy General Manager, and Ms. Amy CHAN, Admin & PR Manager were cheerleading to support the 4 team members, Mr. George LAM (Team Leader), Mr. Kelvin HO, Mr. YUEN Chi-lun and Mr. YIP Wai-ming of C&C Security Printing Co., Ltd., who trained themselves by running stairs in the C&C Building. They all agreed that the training led to their success.

Organized by Hong Chi Association, Hong Chi Climbathon is an annual charity stair run which aims at raising fund to support continuous operation of the Association’s non-subvented projects, including employment and on-the-job training, meal-subsidy plan, public education programmes and other much-needed services. The event has turned into an "annual-get-together” for all the caring friends, students and trainees of the Hong Chi family. It also provides an open platform for Hong Chi students and trainees to showcase their talents to the public.

A charity bazaar was set up in the venue selling Hong Chi publications, handmade ceramic products, greeting cards, and homemade cookies by the students and instructors of Hong Chi Association. The charity selling of Hong Chi’s new book Listen to The Needs of The Children--Walking Side by Side with The Intellectual Disabilities got full support from Sino United Publishing (Holdings), Joint Publishing (H.K.), Chung Hwa Book Co., The Commercial Press and C&C.
